2006

What a year...we really had planned to have a quiet year but oh well...Mary Beth and Robb blessed us with a beautiful baby boy...Brody Robert. He grows faster than I can type...He spent his first New Year's Eve with the family. I think he might be in love with Kelly...he kept giving her the cutest smile...

We have decided to make 2007 a year of gratitude. We look around everyday and understand the blessings we have...a warm house, a strong family, good health, (better if we could loose a few pounds), good friends and much abundance...it just doesn't get any better...

Everytime you see me, please prod me along about the book and the poetry...this needs to be the year...

So...thanks to all for a great 2006...
2007, here we come.....

VACATION

LIFE IS GOOD...
We spent a wonderful week with family on the beaches of St. George Island. Our goal for the week was simple, eat, drink, swim and sleep. The group managed to do all four very well.

Not until you get away do you have time to realize the most important things in life are only an arms length away...(maybe a couple of blocks too!). Just realizing the beauty and calm of the ocean...away from phones and busy stuff. Knowing the all of the folks you love the best are there with you...

Life is good...until next year and we hit the beaches again!!

Pool time

Great weather, great friends, ...
What a wonderful evening we shared with the kids and good friends...we also shared our outing with the dogs...three labs of princely quality...
They swam, they ran, they swam, they ran...they slept!!!

There are few people in our lives that you can be yourself...Sandy and Mike...thank you for sharing our lives with us!!!

House hunting...

We have spent the last few weeks looking for that one house...the perfect house for parents and new child...of course there are limited funds therefore, limited houses.

We found the perfect house...quaint, warm, family friendly and a cool place for adults, whenever they found time to entertain. We were so excited. Finally, everyone loves the house, grandma, mommy, even Lisa, the realtor.

We call home to let the brood know, there is a house for the taking, right price...perfect home...and then...

Daddy to be, at home, pulls up the sexual predators in the area...in one quick click of the mouse, we went from perfect house to the den of antiquity.

The area is full of sexual predators, those that prey on the unknowing of women and young children...the apple cart was not only upset but sent wheeling out of control...

I have to say it amazes me that so many perverts disregard the human rights of others...it just isn't fair that a young family should even have to consider living a life secluded in a bunker in order to protect themselves from neighbors....UGH!!

Enough, I am thankful for the web that allowed us to keep our family safe. Learn about the tools that are out there and use them...the life you save could be your own or those you love...

Brody Robert

We were sitting at the pool Wednesday night and much to our surprise, Brody made his presence known...MB looks at us and says, "I believe he is awake"...Sharon and I swooped to her belly...hands on you know...

There he was...kicking...Hi Grandmas...we could hear him say...get me toys...

As he quieted down, I could only think of my Mom...she would have been in such awe...her most precious Princess, carrying a King...I had to smile as the tears fell, she would have loved him from the very day of conception, much as we all have...

Mom...this one's for you...

Ya Yas...
It is amazing how wonderful it is for our Ya Yas to gather. We always have great food, some tears and lots of belly laughs...

These are women that help to complete my Tapestry. We are all different...we all bring our own stuff to the table.

To my Ya Yas...now and forever...I love you!!!

FRIENDS...
Summer began this Sunday...our family surrounded us as we shared a wonderful Memorial Day celebration. We are so blessed by those we love and those that love us...

There were a few things I learned this weekend.

Sometimes it is too hot to eat. (Hard to believe)
I can only tolerate music for about 7 hours and then I move into a crazed zone of intolerance.
No matter what...family and friends make it all worth it.

That is a lot to learn when your brain is fried. That is something to write home about when you remember to do it...

Enjoy your summer...we are!!!
